Week Review: Week 5 of 2009

Week 5 of 2009, the week where I:

• Quoted C.S. Lewis, who said something about failures!
• Talked about STRESS! and especially stress at your exam.
• Read a lot about personal development, which I got really interested in.

And the week where I:

• Practised more for a upcoming debate!
• Did a lot for a big school project, a lot of typing!
• Talked with some printing offices, about printing our school paper!
• Was really happy, I did an air guitar on my bycicle!

It was a great week. But also a week with some stress, cause I had to do a lot for school. Last year of High School, what a year.

Week Review #3 of 2009

I'm still thinking about the title. Week review #4 of 2009 isn't true, cause I started in week #2, so it is WR #3, but week #4.

Week #4 of 2009.

The week where

• I didn't quote anyone! I simple haven't had the time, sorry!
• The week where my examweek was finished. And I had one of my best examweeks ever. How did I do it?
• The week where I actually only made one post. Bad, very bad. But I got some things coming up!

Except that, it is also the week where

• I had 5 tests, in 2 days. Insane
• I felt great again
• I trained 3 times.
• I learned the meaning of the words: Antebrachium, ileus and acra. Do I need to explain what those words mean?

And the week where

• I went snowboarding with school!
• I only fell 28 times! (Maybe more, maybe less)
• I watched La vita è bella with my girlfriend. What a fantastic movie!

Week #4 of 2009 was a good week. I liked it that I got all those great marks back, and the snowboarding day was also great. The week started with a lot of stress, cause I had 5 upcoming exams, and ended with a lot of relaxation cause the examweek was over!

Week 3 of 2009

This is the week of the second exam week of the year.

The exams went great, that's sure.

The week that my surrounding got sick, my girlfriend, my sister.

The week that I got sick, but didn't admit it, just go to school and make the test!

The week where I blogged only once, about Adolf Hitler. But it is a blog which I love, a good post about some just follow what is been said things. (Have to know that for another test tomorrow ;))

The week where I had to learn, but watched Pirates of the Carribean, with my sick sister.

The week where I went babysitting with my girlfriend, and watched Back to the Future there. What a fantastic movie, can't stop loving it.

The week where I was really happy with my style of learning and my preparing for a good test. Think I'm going to blog about that this week, when I find time. Cause I still have another 5 tests in two days. Wish me luck.

Week 3 of January, a good week, a good examweek. A week where Holland got ill, but I'll make my way through it. Yes, I can be gratefull for week 3. Thanks.

New Year in Holland

As a Dutch School Kid, I want to explain to you what New Year is like in Holland.
I'm working in a mall, so I had to work this morning, from 8 till 10. New Year in a mall is CRAZY. It is just FULL of people, and empty of products.
Hell.
Everybody's asking 'Don't you have any ..' 'I think we do ma'am, I will look for you.'

The day itself. We can shoot our own firework, so as a teenage boy, that is what I do during the day. Buy some firecrackers and fire them! That is fantastic. But also there are many people who bake their own OLIEBOLLEN. (I prefer to eat them :))

New Years Eve. We spend time with our family or friends, play bordgames, or have nice conversations. Test some firework maybe.
Then, half an hour before midnight, we turn the tv on and watch a new years show. A couple of minutes a clock comes in, and your father grabs the champagne, ready to open it. And then. 12 o' clock. HAPPY NEWYEAR!! (We say 'Gelukkig Nieuwjaar') and the champagne will be opened and everyone congratulate each other.

Then we go outside and shoot firework, and watch. The greatest things you will see.
And then I grab my bycicle and go to my girlfriend, have a drink over there, 'congratulations, happy new year'.

The day after, the first of januari. I, and a lot of others, go to do a 'newyearsdive' (nieuwjaarsduik). Everybody runs into the water! And then, run out and grab a towel, and go home to have a shower, cause it is really cold. But it is a really cool tradition!
After the shower, we go to family and have dinner there.

I love New Year. The end of a fantastic 2008, and I hope the beginning of an even more fantastic 2009.

Internet Goals 2009

I need to have a goal. It will inspire me to work harder, try harder and make more happen.

So I have to set some goals for 2009, which I hopefully realize.

1. Reach 500 visits a day on my blog. I am not sure what to expect, but if I can reach this, it will be good!
2. Reach 25 RSS subscribers. Something which is very low at the moment, I will work on this!
3. Get an income from blogging. It doesn't have to be big, but it would be nice.
4. Reach 50 followers on Twitter. Something I would have to reach! @DutchSchoolKid
5. Post 3 times a week. At least

Well, this are my 5 goals, for now at least. There are some other things, like switching to wordpress, get my own domain name etc. But those things are things I can achieve within an hour also, so not relavant to put in the list.
